Tides at SHOAL dining room is open to the public

The Tides at SHOAL Dining Room is open 365 days a year. Too hot to prepare dinner at home?  Come join us for our lovely home style meals. Everyone’s welcome in our dining room, The Tides at SHOAL. Bring a friend or family member or drop in on your own. The Tides at SHOAL is open daily from 12 noon -1:30 pm and 4:30-6 pm. You can view our monthly menu here:

Chef Karen and her team offer your choice of 2 freshly prepared, home-made meal selections for lunch or dinner, 7 days a week. No reservations required. For special occasions (such as Christmas or Father’s Day), we often host holiday meals, with advance bookings strongly recommended.

If you want lighter fare, drop by our volunteer-run Tuck Shop; delight in a freshly baked treat, coffee or tea, and assorted snacks. The Tuck Shop is open weekdays 9 am-3 pm and 6-7 pm, except statutory holidays.

In addition to our regular payment options, we offer you convenient, affordable meal cards for our comfortable, relaxed dining room. Each meal includes a choice of a main course, tea or coffee and dessert.

Please keep your card in a safe place, and treat it as you would treat cash. We regret that misplaced cards can’t be replaced or refunded.

Senior Portioned Lunch (available for everyone):
$12.50: one meal
$172.50: card of 15 meals ($11.50 per meal)

Senior Portioned Dinner (available for everyone):
$15.50: one meal
$217.50: card of 15 meals ($14.50 per meal)

Tides at SHOAL Special Dinners

Come join us for special themed dinners provided by our in house chefs. Each month we aim to provide something different than our usual fare. It’s a great opportunity to come and visit our restaurant, have a great meal and spend some time with those you care about. Call 250-656-5537 for more information or to make a reservation.

Special Dinners are on hiatus for the summer!

Not that we don’t enjoy putting them together, we just find that the masses have become accustomed to burger season at SHOAL. We do not like to disappoint our loyal crowd. Burger Day is every Wednesday from June 7th all the way through to August 30. *EXTENDED TO SEPTMEBER 27! There are no reservations required ahead of time; however, it will be a first come first serve basis. So, if you’re craving a burger, please arrive early.
TIME: 12 pm – 1:30 pm
PRICE: $11.50
The burger is presented on a brioche bun with all the fixings and served along with your choice of house cut kennebec potato French Fries, or the Chef’s choice special of the day.


Dinner & Movie

Friday night is movie night at SHOAL! We are excited to get our makeshift cinema back up and running. Those blue chairs are calling your name. And the popcorn that comes along with those blue chairs. The evening will begin at 5 pm with dinner at our Tides restaurant and the movie will begin at 6 pm.
Menu: Home-made hamburgers created fresh in our kitchen, served along with French Fries and a soda pop. Popcorn included with
the movie.
Time: 5 pm to finish

Grace of Monaco- Friday, September 29
Starring Nicole Kidman, Grace of Monaco is focused on former Hollywood star, turned princess. The film focuses on Grace’s crisis of marriage and identity, during a dispute between Monaco’s Prince Rainier III and France’s Charles de Gaulle. Set in 1962, she is considering a return to Hollywood to film Alfred Hitchcock’s, Marnie.

Just Getting Started- Friday, October 27                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      The plot follows an ex-FBI agent who must put aside his personal feud with a former mob lawyer at a retirement home when the mafia comes to kill the pair. Set in Palm Springs, California, this comedy pairs up lead actors Morgan Freeman and Tommy-Lee Jones through the ups and downs of retirement living turned on it’s head.
