Finding Stability

Beacon Community Services provides safe, affordable, and well-maintained housing for older adults (55+) and individuals living with disabilities across Southern Vancouver Island. Our buildings are thoughtfully located within the community, offering convenient access to transit, services, and local amenities—supporting residents to live independently with dignity and stability.

Our housing options fall within the “affordable housing” range—meaning rents are below market rates and designed for individuals and households with moderate incomes. This type of housing bridges the gap between subsidized housing and market rentals, helping ensure more people can access secure and appropriate homes.

In addition to housing, Beacon offers coordinated Tenant Support services, connecting residents with assistance related to maintenance, administration, and access to other Beacon programs when needed.

Eligibility & Applications

Beacon accepts applications for affordable housing through our website, allowing individuals to express interest directly and explore available opportunities.

To be eligible for most units, applicants must meet income requirements and align with the criteria for affordable housing. In many cases, applicants are also required to be registered with the BC Housing Registry. This ensures eligibility for housing opportunities and allows us to consider applicants through multiple pathways.

If you are not yet registered with the BC Housing Registry, we encourage you to do so as part of your application process.

Our team reviews applications on an ongoing basis and may draw from both direct website inquiries and the BC Housing Registry to fill vacancies.
