For members of our community who are dealing with mental health issues, Beacon Community Services provides compassionate, practical services to promote the development of self-sufficiency and life skills.

Beacon Community Services provides free support to families and youth (birth-18 years) who have been diagnosed with, or are suspected to have, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

Members of this support group meet weekly in Sidney for conversation. The group is self-supporting and facilitated by qualified personnel. All members commit to show respect to attendees by maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of all concerned. Conversations and activities are inclusive of all attendees. Please note that, to attend HeArt N Soul, a referral is required from a doctor or other medical personnel.

At Laurel House in Victoria BC, people will find a warm, welcoming space where they can develop new skills in a therapeutic social setting. Help in the Laurel House garden, bake cookies or prepare a meal, drop in to socialize with other visitors, play a game of cards or chess, or talk with our caring, knowledgeable staff about community resources that might be suitable for you.
