The Island Health Authority decides all Assisted Living placements. An Island Health Authority Case Manager must personally assess prospective residents to determine their eligibility. SHOAL Assisted living is a great place to call home. Beacon’s 25 Assisted Living apartments are upstairs in the SHOAL Centre building.
SHOAL’s also home to a pharmacy, a community activity centre for older adults, a public dining room, and many other amenities to help make life comfortable and fun (including a workshop, crafts room, and garden boxes).
