All of us need a break from time to time. So that adults 55+ and/or their caregivers can enjoy theirs, Beacon Community Services operates the Piercy Respite Hotel on behalf of Island Health.

Located on Victoria’s Hillside Avenue, the attractive, small-scale hotel provides guests a safe, secure and supportive environment 7 days a week, enabling caregivers to have a period of rest and renewal.

Guesthouse amenities include:

  • private, wheelchair-accessible rooms (each with a television, telephone, comfortable furnishings, and a 24 hour personal alarm/call bell);
  • private bathrooms, with handicapped accessible showers;
  • a tub room, where guests can enjoy a personal bath;
  • delicious meals and snacks served in our pleasant dining room/lounge;
    an enclosed garden; and
  • the option to enjoy visiting with other guests  —  or to simply rest and relax on one’s own.

Guests will have varying levels of physical and mental ability but must be medically stable.

To reserve a stay at the Piercy Respite Hotel, guests must first be assessed by an Island Health Case Manager. To begin the referral screening process, please contact the Island Health Home and Community Care General Enquiries Line at 250 388-2273.
