Work experience for youth aged 15-30 on Vancouver Island/Gulf Islands/Powell River — Beacon Community Services’ EDGE Career Focus provides paid, career-related work experience and mentoring to youth located on Vancouver Island, the southern Gulf Islands, and the Powell River area. Work experience placements are intended to help youth meet skills gaps and facilitate their move into the labour market after they complete post-secondary education — and also to support the field of studies of post-secondary students who are still in school. The aim is to connect you to employment in high-demand, private-sector or non-profit-sector occupations in fields such as business, social services, tourism, trades and technology.
