By providing information, support, resources and referral services to parents and childcare providers across the province, Child Care, Resource and Referral centres (CCRRs) make it easier for families to find and access responsive, inclusive and high quality licensed and registered childcare.

The Ministry of Education and Child Care provides funding to CCRRs, which work in partnership with the government to improve the accessibility, affordability and quality of childcare in all B.C. communities.
Services for Families
We are here to support families who are looking to find Child Care that suits their needs. Whether in person, by phone or online, we’ll help answer questions about Child Care and connect families to learning opportunities that support healthy child development.
How We Help
- Up-to-date referrals to licensed childcare providers and RNLRs
- Resources to help access Child Care information and apply for government funding
- Onsite computer use with Microsoft Office Suite, high-speed internet, printers and fax machines
- Open later hours and Saturdays to suit your schedule
- Access to the Toy Lending library (coming soon)
- Information about community resources
Services for Providers & Workers
CCRRs are here to provide support and resources to Child Care workers and providers. If you are a licensed Child Care Provider, fill out the form below to register with us. You’ll gain access to services, workshops and training opportunities, most of which are free of charge. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us by email.

- List you on the CCRR care provider registry and referral database
- Support you with in-person, online or mobile training and through discussion, help tailor-make training to suit your needs
- Offer access to our toy lending library
- Help you access our job board and information for those looking to enter the field of Child Care or start up their own business
- Help navigate licensing requirements
- Connect you to our Facebook and Instagram pages for ongoing support and networking opportunities
- Give information on the latest updates from the Ministry of Education and Child Care
- Organize appreciation events

Lending Library
The Lending Library is a wonderful place for educators, parents, guardians and caregivers to find useful tools that will encourage children’s healthy development and learning.
We offer delivery services on Salt Spring and the Saanich Peninsula, and are currently working on pick-up and drop-off sites for each of the School District 64 Gulf Islands. Please indicate if you require this service when you reserve a library item, and we will make arrangements for delivery. If there are items you think would be useful additions to the library, please let us know.

Introducing the Early Learning Framework
This is a free online self-paced training on the MCFD site. The goals of the course are to help providers understand and begin to implement the Principles of Early Learning, a pedagogy of listening, critical reflection, collaborative dialogue and pedagogical narration to enhance learning the Living Inquiries.

4 Seasons of Reconciliation
This self-paced online program offers 10 modules on truth and reconciliation and is available to all Canadians. Upon completion of the online course, you will be awarded a “Certificate of Completion” issued by First Nations University of Canada. These resources are the result of many years of work and much careful thought – ayâkwâmisiwin (in Cree).
